Conservationists Turn Abandoned Limestone Quarry into Frog Paradise, Complete with Observation Deck for Visitors
20.06.2016 In a festive ceremony, nature conservationists opened a previously neglected limestone quarry in the Jinošov Valley near Vlašim to the public, having created new pools for amphibians, as well as information panels and an observation deck facing the quarry for visitors. This is already the thirteenth site in the Central Bohemian Region that has been made accessible within the framework of the NET4GAS Closer to Nature programme, and the seventy-fifth site across the country.
13.10.2015 On behalf of NET4GAS, COO Radek Benčík took over the VIA BONA Award for a Large Company, which the company received for its programme NET4GAS Closer to Nature, on occasion of a festive ceremony that took place on October 6, 2015. The company was nominated for the award by the Czech Union for Nature Conservation, for whom NET4GAS has been a reliable general partner since 2007.
12.10.2015 The Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) has presented the general public with a new educational trail in Modřany (a Prague district), named the "Valley of Springs". The trail leads visitors into a quiet side-valley of the “Modřanská rokle” ravine, where five springs come to the surface. This is already the fourth spot of nature within the borders of the capital city that the ČSOP has made accessible to visitors under the "NET4GAS Closer to Nature" programme.

02.10.2015 New wooden furniture and accessories, and the restored summit cross on Velká Homolka ('Big Knoll') in Vimperk, have been presented to the public today. The local Šumava / Bohemian Forest chapter of the ČSOP successfully saw through its project proposal for beautifying yet another interesting spot of nature for the general public within the "NET4GAS Closer to Nature" programme.

18.09.2015 In a festive ceremony, the Czech Union for Nature Conservation has opened part of the former military shooting range near Šluknov to the general public, on which it installed an educational trail. As of today, visitors can take the route from a nearby protected alluvial meadow along a corduroy path and footbridge to a 300-year-old oak tree.

20.08.2015 The Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) has presented to the public a new observation platform, which stands seven metres tall, within the unique landscape of the Kozmice Bird Meadows. This attractive hiking destination lies between Ostrava and Opava, and is already the eleventh site in Moravia-Silesia that has been unlocked for casual visitors thanks to the NET4GAS Closer to Nature programme.

25.07.2015 The Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) and its general partner NET4GAS have together made what is already the seventieth valuable natural site accessible to the general public within the framework of the Closer to Nature programme – a site known as "Choryně Sentinel" in the vicinity of Vsetín – by creating an educational trail and installing a bird-watching platform. This is already the tenth site within the programme in the Zlín Region.
25.06.2015 On June 30th, the Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) will present the general public with the all-new Vesec Valley educational trail near Liberec, which it has completely refurbished within the context of the NET4GAS Closer to Nature program. A new boardwalk and several footbridges mean that the trail is again safe for everyone. In addition, the trail now prides itself on having new information panels fitted with QR codes. As a part of the opening ceremony of the trail, the public can look forward to a varied program of activities for children and adults alike.
09.11.2014 A new two-kilometre circular trail with eight stations leads visitors through the backdrop of former limestone quarries and their immediate surroundings. It presents the southern slope of Hády Hill as a precious pearl of nature, abundant in protected plant and animal species and with an intriguing story to tell. It is rounded off by a fascinating panoramic view of Brno and Southern Moravia. The trail was built by the local chapter of ČSOP with the friendly support of the NET4GAS Closer to Nature programme.

Come with us on a commented trip accompanied by llamas alpaca, take part in a contest and win binoculars and other prizes. A pumpkin fest will follow.
09.10.2014 The Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) has opened a new educational trail to the general public - already the tenth of its kind in the Moravian-Silesian Region, thanks to the NET4GAS Closer to Nature programme. The trail is 4.5 km long and leads through the protected landscape area of (CHKO) Poodří / Oder Valley. It presents the floodplains of the Oder River, known for, among other things, their role in protecting the greater Ostrava area from floods. The interactive trail, fittingly named "Through landscape of floods", familiarises visitors with this issue and with other interesting facts at nine stations along the course of the Oder between Jeseník nad Odrou, Bernartice, and Suchdol. The opening ceremony was attended by the governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Miroslav Novák.
