Black Stork
is a large, mostly black bird with bronze shine, long red bill and white underside. Its young are matt-brown with grey-green bill. It has a lifespan in excess of 15 years. This shy inhabitant of forests, hilly areas and bottomland forests lives singly and well hidden. The nest of sticks and branches is usually hidden in old treetops or on the rocks. It primarily feeds on fish and other small animals.
