Cooperation with Beleco

In 2009 - 2013, NET4GAS supported the association Beleco (former civic association DAPHNE ČR – Institute of Applied Ecology). The aim of their common activities was particularly revitalization of specific locations, such as peat bogs or former military sites. The restoration of the first type of location included the project of Revitalisation of Peat Bogs in the Ore Mountains (Krušné hory), lasting 2009 - 2013. Two pilot locations were chosen – the Cinovec Ridge and the peat bog “By the Lake” (U jezera). The restoration of the latter was supported 2012 - 2013 under the project Natura in Green – Management of Europe’s Special Areas of Conservation Influenced by Former Military Activities. Its aim was regeneration of ecosystems in Europe’s special areas of conservation and increase in the number of rare and endangered species of plants and animals. The project included two pilot locations - Načeratice Hill and Blšany Hillock. |
