Marsh Helleborine
this perennial herb grows up to 50 cm tall. The stalk of this orchid is direct with oblong to lanceolate leaves. The plant blooms from June to August and its fruit is a capsule. In the CZ it occurs in unshaded and permanently humid locations, in bogs and spring areas. Helleborine is a severely endangered species of Czech flora and similarly to other orchids it is classified under international protection pursuant to CITES Convention - Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
