Red Kite
a medium-sized raptor, who distinguishes from other raptor species by its long forked tail. It nests in the forests nearby waters. In the CZ it originally began nesting in 1976 in South Moravia, nowadays it has spread almost across the whole Bohemia and South Moravia. The last population estimate of 2001-2003 proved 70 to 100 pairs.
