Elbe-Valley Helleborine

this extensive monocotyledonous plant usually grows in light forest locations and seeks more humid environment rich in calcium. The representatives with lower chlorophyll content in tissue have a bluish colour. Several species of this plant grow in the CZ with albensis and dark-red subspecies being the most common.
