Barred Warbler
The largest warbler in our latitudes, it has a grey mantle, two whitish stripes on the wings, and white tips on the outer tail feathers. The nesting grounds of the Barred Warbler are sunny field borders and slopes with scattered growth of shrubbery, or strips of thorny bushes in cultivated land. The Barred Warbler makes its nest on the branches of dense shrubs or low trees (most often blackthorn or dog rose), usually 0.5 – 2 m above the ground.
