Rezavka

"Rezavka" - this name stands for a valuable natural site on the outskirts of the greater Ostrava area. Though it finds itself in the straightjacket of major thoroughfares, Rezavka prides itself on a number of precious forest, meadow, and aquatic biotopes.

In the northwest of the site, which was declared a natural monument in 1998, a bird-watching perch was built in 2009 by ČSOP Alces (with the kind support of the NET4GAS Closer to Nature programme), which is used to teach environmental awareness to pupils of local schools, but also serves the general public. As part of the project, the local educational trail was also refurbished.
