Spring Snowflake

this monocotyledonous plant grows up to 30 cm tall. It belongs among perennial plants, 3 – 4 leaves sprout out of underground bulb. Spring snowflake flower grows out of overhanging stem. Its petals are white with yellow to green spot at the tip. The flower appears very early – in February to April. It grows in damp forests and damp meadows in Bohemia and Moravia.
