Yellow Iris

The habitat range of the yellow flag, or yellow iris, extends across almost all of Europe, with the exception of Scandinavia and the high mountains, while it also appears in Asia and Northwest Africa. It is found scattered throughout the Czech Republic, with the exception of mountainous regions. In the planet’s temperate zone, it is being cultivated as an ornamental plant. The plant has naturalized in the United States (where it is considered an invasive species in the states of Washington and Montana, in particular), and in New Zealand.
