Spring Crocus

The plant attains a height of approx. 15 cm. Below ground is the flattened globular corm from which the linear leaves grow. The flowers of this small plant are white, violet, or striped in pale-violet. The Spring Crocus grows on meadows and pastures, on loamy soils (including clay) that are slightly acidic to neutral.
