Knapweed Broomrape
This herbaceous plant completely lacks chlorophyll. It is glandular, fuzzy, and usually 40-60 cm high. It is ochre-coloured, with a tinge of purple. The stem is straight and foliated. With its dense, elongated inflorescence, it is a rarity in the Czech Republic, usually found along the lower reaches of the Moldau/Vltava River, the Central Bohemian Uplands and the hilly country of South Moravia.
