Yellow-Bellied Toad

is a relatively small frog of approximately 5cm size. Their upper side is of brownish to grey-green colour, but more than 50% of the bottom part is distinctively yellow with large spots. A curiosity of this frog is its heart-shaped pupil. Skin secretion that it produces may cause an allergic reaction. It feeds on worms, mosquito larvae and other small animals. Small water expanses present typical location of their presence and reproduction. In the CZ it is a severely endangered species.
