Eurasian Minnow

Minnow has a long, rounded body and a round head and fins. It has light lengthwise stripes on both sides with a wider stripe of darker brownish spots. Long ago, minnow was a plentiful species making basic food for trout. Minnow was also used as a model organism for studying the sensory organs of fish and the toxicity of substances.
