Eurasian Bittern

European bittern is a medium-sized species of wader bird. Unlike herons it has a squatter body and less prominent brown coloration with darker streaks and stripes. European bittern nests in larger reed growths. Approximately 30 – 40 pairs nest in the Czech Republic area.
