Vinoř Park – Satalice Pheasantry

If you wish to spend a pleasant afternoon on the outskirts of Prague, you ought to visit Vinoř Park or the Satalice Pheasantry. Not everyone knows that this spot of nature harbours a fountain, alluvial forest, rock formations, and the remnants of a prehistoric settlement.

Since 2008, an educational trail has been familiarizing visitors with the history and presence of the Vinoř Park nature reserve and the Satalice Pheasantry natural monument, thanks to the ČSOP and the NET4GAS Closer to Nature programme. In addition to the usual educational info panels, the trail has been enhanced with additional attractions and quizzes, specially designed so that children can test their skills. They are being encouraged to play on an open-air xylophone, guess distances in nature, etc.
