Mountain Everlasting
This perennial, approx. 7–30 cm in height, with a creeping rootstalk, grows in sunny deciduous woods and pinewoods, on the edge of forests, on pasture land, in clearings and waysides, across altitudes from the lowlands to the mountains. Its flowerhead, on an erect leaved talk, is composed of small, clustered florets. The flowering period is from May through June (or in mountainous regions, July).
