Pheasant's Eye

is a representative of perennial plants that reaches up to 20 cm of height. It blooms from April with large, yellow anther flowers. Spring pheasant's eye plant is bare or shortly pilose. Leaves are partite to thread-like. This flower is fondly grown by gardening fans owing to its attractive appearance. It requires permeable soil, dry and sunny place. Its seeds are spread by ants. Due to its content of toxic substances – strongly effective on heart muscle – it is sometimes dangerously recommended by amateur natural healers.
