Gallic Rose

Among the low-growing rose species, it forms squat shrubs with underground shoots that are usually no taller than 50 cm. Leaves usually come in one to three leathery pairs. The flower is large, deep pink, and intensely fragrant. It flowers from June to mid-July. The fruit is a globular hip that reddens gradually. The Gallic Rose prefers dry and sunny sites.
