Cross-Leaved Gentian

is a perennial, 15 to 30 cm tall herb with unbranched, densely leaved, sometimes reddish stem. The inflorescence is terminal with blue blossoms. It grows on dry meadows and pasture lands. Alcon blue is connected to the presence of gentian. It blooms from July to October. It belongs among endangered species of our flora.
