Glowing Jewel Beetle

One of the most beautifully coloured beetles found in Czech nature, it is endemic to warmer territories, and can be found in greater numbers in South Moravia and South Bohemia, most often on old cherry trees, into whose trunks it burrows oval entrance holes. From these, it takes to the air, and they are found mostly on the southern sunlit side of tree trunks.
