Siberian Iris

it is a perennial herb of the Iridaceae family, which is protected in the Czech Republic and belongs into the category of "severely endangered species". Siberian iris grows in tufts, which can reach up to 100 cm of height. Its leaves are narrow and long, just like the hollow stem. Siberian iris blooms in the period of May to June, its flowers are light to dark blue-violet. Humid to wetland environment is favourable for the plant, unkept flooded meadows are ideal.
