Votočnice

Votočnice, a site in the alluvial plain of the Sázava River, is yet another valuable spot of nature that is ideal for outdoor recreation. Visitors get to see two stillwater ponds and a river branch where many interesting plants and animals live that are wedded to an aquatic environment.

The local educational trail, built in 2008 by the ČSOP chapter Sázava with the support of the NET4GAS Closer to Nature Program, presents Votočnice, its inhabitants, and its interesting history, with its connections to, for example, Jiří Voskovec, Czech actor, playwright and poet, or to the Devil and Saint Prokop.
